Our voice mail system, computer network, internet access,company-owned or leased cellular devices, laptops or similar devices, telephones and computer software are a company resource, funded exclusively by the company and are solely intended to further company purposes.
Buy the Beach Realty Group may engage in monitoring of e-mail, voicemail and Internet activities for any business purpose including employee supervision.
Use of Company Email and Electronic Devices:
- Privacy: You may not anticipate any privacy whatsoever regarding your e-mail accounts. All corporate e-mail may (and will) be monitored periodically and any messages, inbound or outbound, handled by our corporate e-mail system are subject to this monitoring. If you have confidential or personal messages not related to company business that you do not wish to expose to third parties, then do not use your company e-mail account to send and receive them.
- Personal Messages: You are permitted to send and receive personal mail on our e-mail system. However, be aware that as per #1 above, you have no anticipation that these messages will be confidential or private. If you use Company equipment to send or receive personal messages through systems other than company email, such as 3rd-party email systems, web sites, personal or text messaging, we may monitor, read, log and archive these communications as well.
- File Attachments: File attachments can contain damaging computer viruses. Although we use anti-virus software on our server, it is by no means foolproof. You are forbidden to receive file attachments from your correspondents except from Buy the Beach Realty management. Please advise your correspondents not to submit file attachments to you. Abusers will have their e-mail privileges curtailed.
- Language: Indecent, abusive, offensive or inflammatory language is forbidden regardless of “provocation.”
- Monitoring: Company may monitor, access and search any electronic device furnished to you at any time. We may monitor, log, copy and review any material on any electronic mail, messaging or other account accessed from any electronic device belonging to the Company for any purpose.
- Salaried or hourly staff use of devices: Salaried or hourly staff are not permitted to use Company-owned electronic devices for personal business, messaging or entertainment while at work.
- Surveillance: We may monitor telephone conversations on company owned telephones, and perform audio-video surveillance on any business location we maintain for the purposes of quality control, monitoring of abuses, productivity studies and employee performance evaluation.
- Disciplinary Action: Abuse of these policies may result in imposition of fines, suspension or dismissal for cause.
World Wide Web Abuses:
These computers are provided for use in furthering our business: salaried employees found browsing websites not related to their professional activities during business hours may be sanctioned for misusing their time during working hours. If you would be embarrassed to have someone else know that you are browsing a particular website, do not do so using company computers.
Access to “adult” and/or politically controversial websites is strictly forbidden as we do not wish to create an environment that might be deemed “hostile” to those offended by such material. Anyone logging onto sexually explicit websites or those with controversial political content such as racist websites, will have their internet access terminated. Again, Internet access through our office network is solely intended as a tool to further our business of selling real estate. Any other use of this facility is a courtesy to you and your usage must conform to our guidelines.
