Colognes and Scents:
Agents and employees should not wear colognes, perfumes or other scented personal products to the office.
Tobacco Products:
Use of any tobacco products in the office is a violation of state law. This includes eCigarettes/Vaping/Chewing/Snuff or any other tobacco product. Any agent or employee found using these products will be terminated for cause on first occasion.
Computers, Equipment & Office Supplies:
Only agents and office staff are allowed to use BTB computers, equipment and supplies for business use only. No exceptions.
The office is to be used to conduct real estate business related to Buy the Beach Realty Group. It is not to be used for any other business use (your side business, your friend’s business, etc).
Proprietary Information
Unauthorized disclosure of, sharing, copying, transmitting, storing of content, allowing unauthorized access to unauthorized individuals, or reproduction of Buy the Beach Realty Group’s proprietary information including but not limited to data, data bases, forms, pictures, manuals, and software is strictly prohibited. Violators are subject to immediate termination.
Desk Use
With the exception of the Broker desk and office staff desk, desks are not assigned and anyone can sit at any desk or space to work or meet with customers. Agents are prohibited from using the Broker or office staff desk and computers located at these desks at anytime.
Access & Door Locks:
The office is available to agents 24 hours a day for business use only. So, if it’s midnight and you remember that you need to pick up keys for your morning appointments and want to get them, you can. If you want to catch up with work in peace and quiet, you can work after hours. Agents and office staff are not allowed to share their keys with anyone to access the office outside of business hours. This means, you cannot ask your spouse, friend, etc to swing by the office after hours and use your key to enter on your behalf to pick something up, drop something off, etc. There is an after hours slot at the bottom of the door that can be used by anyone at any time.
Each agent is provided a top and bottom lock key to the office, however, only the top lock should be used on a daily basis.
Open Concept:
Just like open concept living, we have an open concept office. Respect others in the office. Use common sense about the volume or content of your conversations. Do not disrupt others that are working.
Kitchenette & Eating in the Office:
The kitchenette is provided for the convenience of all. Within reason, you may keep items in the mini fridge or on the shelves for consumption. If food appears to be abandoned or expired, office staff has the right to discard the item(s) without contacting you. Food left in the open or on the shelves may be deemed as available for public consumption unless you label it as yours (ex. a package of pastries, a bag of open chips).
You are always responsible for cleaning up after yourself at all times. Most disposable items can be discarded in the large trash can in the back– smelly items should be disposed of in the trash chute (examples: an empty sardine can, burnt pizza, etc). Liquids and cups with liquids should be emptied in the bathroom before being discarded in the office trash cans). Desk trash cans are only for paper waste (not food or liquids).
Tools & Other Supplies
There are basic tools (screw drivers, ladder, tape measure, etc) located in the office. If you borrow it, return it, and put it back where it belongs. Do not loan them to outsiders. Property maintenance related items (filters, bulbs, etc) are not for your use without permission and under the condition that you will replace the item.
